For him are angels ranged before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah's command. Lo! Allah changeth not the condition of a folk until they (first) change that which is in their hearts; and if Allah willeth misfortune for a folk there is none that can repel it, nor have they a defender beside Him.

(13:11)

“They will ask you about alms-giving. Say: ‘Whatever you bestow in charity must go to your parents and to your kinsfolk, to orphans and to the helpless and to the wayfarer in need. God is aware of whatever good you do.’ Fighting is ordained for you, much as you dislike it. But you may hate a thing although it is good for you, and love a thing although it is bad for you. God knows, but you do not know.”
